STUDENTS' ACHIEVEMENTS THE SCHOOL YEAR 2006/2007 MASTERPIECE OF WASTES         KUJAWSKO – POMORSKIE ECOLOGICAL WDUCATION CENTER in Myślęcinek organized the sixth edition of the contest “Masterpiece of wastes”. It is celebrated annually on the occasion of “The Day of Earth”. On April 20th those ones who could create something extraordinary using wastes only were awarded. Karolina Radziun was praised for her aquarium, Anna Wrońska for the cactus and Paulina Glabas for her amazing turtle. Lidia Januszewska FLOWERY POEMS        The students of our school – V and VI primary graders were participants of the poetry contest „ Flowery Poems” which was organized by The Group of Schools no 9 in Bydgoszcz. There were six representatives of our school. Ewa Szreder was distinguished with a prize for the recitation. Congratulations! Beata Partyka SANTA CLAUS DAY WITH PINOKIO             This festivity was an occasion for II, III and IV graders to take part in competition of reading – the basis of which was the knowledge of Carlo Collodi’s book “Pinokio”. After solving five tasks the winners were: Oskar Słowiński – IV grader, Małgosia Wysocka – II grader and Mateusz Maruszczak – IV grader. Beata Partyka AUTUMN       Sara Kohlmeyer is the winner of the first prize in the recitation poetry contest and Małgorzata Wysocka has been awarded the first prize in the art contest. Both competitions were devoted to the theme of Autumn and were organized for the youngest students of the school. I READ AND UNDERSTAND       On Wednesday, November 8yh the Primary School students took part in the school competition on reading skills titled “I read and understand.” The competitors were supposed to read a part of the text and afterwards to answer the questions concerning it. The winners of the contest are: Kevin Kotoliński – IV primary grader, Paweł Ostrowski – VI grader, Judyta Stelmaczenok – VI grader. Our best congratulations!!! And we encourage you all to read books which are helpful to develop different skills. Agnieszka Kordylewicz A MASTERPIECE FROM WASTES            The fifth edition of the contest “ A Masterpiece from Wastes” organized by Kujawsko- Pomorskie Ecology Education Center took place. The task was to prepare the art work using different kinds of wastes only. On the lower secondary level Paulina Glabas was on the second position. Lidia Januszewska SECONDARY SCHOOL MATHEMATICIAN            The student of our Gymnasium Artur Kraska has won the finalist title in THE PROVINCIAL MATHEMATICS COMPETITION. ANNUAL CHESS COMPETITION On March 15th the annual Lower Secondary Chess Competition took place. The winners were: Marcin Sadowski, II lower secondary grader – I position, Arek Błaszczyk, III grader – II position, Arek Mołdoch, III grader – III position, These three staudents and Izabela Mlocicka represented the school in The Municipal Chess competition on March 24th 2006. They won the third prize. Beata Partyka SPRING IN THE EYES OF CHILDREN            This is the next time when Lidia Januszewska, the art teacher in our school has organized the competition for I – III primary students titled “Spring in the Eyes of Children”. The technique of the works was free to choose. There were many different ideas and the winner were: Marta Musidłowska and Paulina Zawistowska from grade II, Patrycja Kuzimska from grade III. The special prizes went to Weronika Nawrocka from grade I, Magdalena Szkiela and Julia Wojciechowska from grade II and Karolina Sikorska from grade III. The contest focused on poetry recitation in two age level categories. Among the youngest the winner of the first prize was Małgosia Wysocka from the first primary class, the second prize went to Patrycja Kużimska from the third primary class. Among the older students the winners were Ewa Szreder, Kaludia Jarecka -both from IV grade and Judyta Stelmaczenok from V grade. FOLLOWING THE STEPS OF ŁUKASIEWICZ        Two of our students competed in the final part of municipal competition "Following the Steps of Łukasiewicz" on March 9th 2006. The first prize went to our lower secondary student Maria Młocicka and Artur Kraska was the fourth position winner. The contest concerned the knowledge about life and achievements of Ignacy Łukasiewicz (1822-1882), the forerunner of the petroleum industry in the world. Congratulations!!!
